Who is eligible to take out a College Ave Student or Parent loan?

Undergraduate and Graduate Loan Eligibility:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be enrolled in an eligible school in the US. You'll see the list of schools in our application
  • Have a social security number
  • Meet the satisfactory academic progress (SAP) guidelines defined by your school

Approval for the loan will depend on the borrower's and cosigner's (if you have one) credit history and income review.

If you're an international student, you may apply with a US citizen or permanent resident cosigner.

 

Parent Loan Eligibility:
College Ave's Parent loan is available to parents, grandparents, guardians, sponsors or other family members (like aunts or uncles) who want to help cover the cost of a student's education.

  • The applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • The student must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an eligible school. You'll see the list of schools in our application
  • All students must meet the satisfactory academic progress (SAP) guidelines defined by their school
  • Approval for the loan will depend on the parent or guardian's credit history and income review
